People are free to like and dislike Lady Gaga. Because there is a difference between liking and disliking someone and discussing whether or not something is ART. Art is an expression of something inside of you, an interpretation of something that you create, and no one other than you can say whether or not what you have created is art. I defend it vehemently because I study art and it pisses me off to listen to people say "oh, that isn't art" because they may not like it. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you like it. It has nothing to do with you, period. If Gaga creates something she calls art, it's art. Period. Again, whether it's good or bad is open to interpretation, but not the fact that it is art.
