Here are the instructions:
You can send whatever kind of small lucky charm you choose. Handmade or manufactured... anything goes, as long as it is small enough to pass as a miniature lucky charm. The idea is to collect a box of these and send them to Johnny as soon as we can. Some ideas for lucky charms include: pendants, buttons, key holders, paper clips... You can, of course, come up with your own idea. Might be informed by some cultural tradition or not. Anything goes.
Include a short explanation of how the charm works and attach it to it. If you don't want it attached or can't get it attached, you can draw the lucky charm on the explanation card or make it identifiable in some other way. Please use small explanation cards if you are attaching them to the charms. These are practically going to be the lucky charms' IDs, so info about name, function and who they are from should suffice.
Cards will also be accepted as part of the project.
As far as the deadline goes, let's try to have everything collected and ready for shipping before Rostelecom Cup (Oct 22).
If absolutely impossible, we'll just send Johnny the present after he comes back from Russia.
Send the lucky charms or cards to:

I am not sure about the expenses. You are welcome to include a dollar or two. I have a paypal account you can use: arbalova@sas.upenn.edu
If I collect any more money than I spend, I'll send the balance to the next project coordinator.
I think that's it. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. By all means let the other Johnny boards know that they are welcome to participate in the project. I'll try to get in touch with them, too.
Also, do let me know, when you send your lucky charm or card, so that I know to expect it. You can write in this thread, send me a PM or an e-mail to stefarbalova@yahoo.com
Enjoy choosing the best and most lucky charms there are!

Janina.
