Sorry this is so late, and there are far better photos and videos already posted, but here is my report and a link to my personal pictures:

My photos of Sun Valley

Johnny was on the practice ice for about 30 minutes, mostly doing a group number. He practiced solo for a short time. Then he left to go shopping in Ketchum and Hailey. It was a very hot day, much hotter than the day before. I got a sunburn just walking around the grounds and in Ketchum where I had to stop for an iced latte to cool off!

The show started at 9:40pm and went on for 2 hours, lots of great skating from professional single skaters, pairs and ice dance teams as well as Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre and Nathan Chen - who was delightful, he did his short program from last season that won him the US Novice championship. He is one to watch in the future (prediction: Olympic Champion in 2018).  Of course Johnny's two programs were the highlights of the evening and the crowd went wild for him.

After the show, all the skaters came out to sign autographs and have pictures taken but clearly Johnny was who everyone wanted to see.  He had a mob circling around him - many were on the ice. A lady from the show came out and ushered everyone off the ice (for their safety, i.e., from ice is slippery) - saying no more photographs or autographs until they moved back. I was glad she did that because people were really crowding around Johnny so he couldn't move. It made me claustrophobic just to watch! As always Johnny was so gracious to all the little munchkins (and the not so little ones too). It was quite late so I left before he did.

P.S.
I "almost" had a unique encounter ... I went to dinner and a play in Hailey Friday night and the resort sent their driver to pick me up en route to the Sun Valley airport to meet incoming guests on the last flight of the night. IF Johnny had made his connecting flight in Salt Lake City, he and Tara would have been on the same limo with me. Darn it! Oh well, like they say, timing is everything.
