Rule of thumb is that it takes innate talent plus a decade of intense training to achieve world-class expertise in just about any competitive field of endeavor. To announce wanting a quick trip to the top for fun is risky, but then again skaters are used to falling down in front of millions of viewers and dusting themselves off and getting back up, so it might not seem like such a risk. Still, Britney Spears was nailing and winning vocal competitions in her early tweens, so her talent has been proven in the field.

Generally, the name of the game in PR is to exceed expectations, so setting low initial expectations is a good strategy. I'm praying to Our Lady Gaga (and the producer) that they can provide some frank, expert guidance on Johnny's pop star music video venture. In an extreme but comforting example, I recall that Nancy Sinatra, with the help of her Daddy Frank's expert song writers and top-notch producers, somehow churned out a few pop hits, despite her straitjacketed vocal range.

Keeper of the delight and inspiration that Johnny brings to fans. Vote for another season of Skating with the Stars http://www.wetpaint.com/dancing-with-the-stars/articles/poll-would-you-watch-a-second-season-of-skating-with-the-stars
