I agree completely with you; unfortunately, video sharing is one of the reasons skating is disappearing from TV, I think. Advertising supports broadcast expenses, and if you can watch it on the internet, you're not watching ads.

If you think any law is unjust, you have several options:

1. Write to your legislator and urge them to work toward changing the law.

2. Run for office yourself, and try to change the law.

3. Start a grass-roots campaign to increase public opinion about the law.

4. Write (and publish) articles, a blog, or a book arguing your case that the law should be changed.

5. Civil disobedience. However, if you break a law that you feel is unjust, you must be prepared to suffer the consequences.

I seem to be in a professorial mood today!! To get out of it, I'm going to go watch the entire competition from Japan, provided for free on IceNetwork. And then subscribe. Any skating is better than none.

I was privileged to see some wonderful skating live over the weekend, at An Evening with Champions. Several of my photos are posted at usfigureskating.org. I hope you enjoy them!
