I'm fine with just about any commentator as long as they follow three simple rules:

1. have the ability to know the difference between different jumps and spin positions

2. don't talk nonstop over the music. I don't mind when they say the name of the jump immediately afterwards but enough about height and costume designers etc. Save that for the time waiting for the scores.

3. show respect for the sport. Perfect example, Terry Gannon, asked intelligent questions during the telecast and obviously paid attention because you can see how much he grew as a figure skating commentator over the years. I miss him already.
