I should have joined this forum long ago, because I have LOVED Johnny forever. No, I am not from Korea, I'm from Northern California. I was a national level roller skater as a kid and switched to ice skating in my teens. I'm a gold level ice dancer, but never competed in ice skating. I so appreciate Johnny's edge work and his wonderful basic skating skills. I don't think there is anyone better than he is in that area, including Stephan.
I also love Johnny's spins because they are so beautifully centered, and he never strikes an ugly position, which I think Stephan occasionally does. Sometimes creative isn't pretty in my opinion.

Maybe having another elite skater on the scene will push Johnny to even greater things. Frankly, in my opinion, he is the superior jumper and his body line is second to none. The more I think about it, this training situation could actually be a good thing. Let's hope for the best!
