I agree! EA's post was so awesome and put everything in perspective. And I am exactly in the same boat as EA, the first time I ever saw Johnny was when he stepped on the ice at the 2003 nationals for the long program, and I too immediately knew he was special and I became an instant fan. Heck, I'll admit it, I fell in love!!! And my heart broke for him with his falls and withdrawal and I just waited all year feeling something special was going to happen in 2004.

In terms of great American skating, EA, do you have the 3 DVD set called "Skating through Time?" It has 30 great skates at Nationals over the past 3 decades, 10 on each DVD. And of course 2 of the 30 are Johnny and Michelle's long programs from 2004. And Rudy Galindo's 1996 inspirational win will bring anyone to tears ... he never even metalled at Nationals as a single's skater, was old, and WON!!! When Johnny win's his first World Championship and/or 2010 Olympics, the defeat will make the victory just that much more meaningful.
