Welcome to the board, KaylieMalinza! :angel5
Well, I know this discussion is somehow going in a wrong direction despite of your initial reason to start it.
But still I just want to make a few points...
Reading your comments I feel as if reading through something I would write on the topic: that is it would be logically proved, with an explanation provided on every controversial point, but it would also be strangely overlapping with my desires, thus belonging to my reality but not necessarily to Johnny's.
The truth is that he doesn't really want us to know. He said he wouldn't tell us because it was sacred to him... I think I know what he is talking about. We just won't understand. To us it's only an interesting topic of conversation, something curious, entertaining and God knows what else. A source of money for journalists, a justification of underscoring for judges, a reason to like or dislike him for some... And that's all so trivial. To him, however, it's his life, his feelings... It's love and we all know what an admirably idealistic attitude he has towards it. His romantic life is not a topic for casual conversations. This would only take it down to earth, make it real and deprived of a part of its magic. Love does not belong to this world's dimensions. Nor do all of our other deep feelings, which some would describe as coming from Heaven. To me they just belong to that magical Neverland, which I can describe but never make understood in my own way. (pessimistic! I'll find someone who will understand! The point is that most people won't.) And misunderstanding hurts! Try to reveal your soul in front of someone who doesn't really care and you'll see. :9
Johnny knows what he does. He says what he thinks and decides which questions to skip. It's none of our business to know more than he tells us and none of the reports business to insist on him telling them more than he does. When it comes to someone as sensitive as Johnny such questions, direct or not, are just wrong. He refused to answer. That's all about it.
Besides, I disagree he provokes questions. He just lives his life and he is certainly entitled to that!
Nobody's private life should be discussed by the public. The author of this article wants direct questions to be asked. Our reaction to it has nothing to do with sexual descrimination. All we want is to protect Johnny!
Having said that, I want to add that I absolutely agree with some of the things you wrote, especially your point about the "invisibility". :)
