I am a huge fan of Maria Butyrskaya and she had the same dignity and reserve that Johnny has when competing and also the same artistry.

Yes! There is such dignity in his skating--the way he lets the audience come to him. I think it's beautiful and very moving.

I was, and am, a great fan of Brian Boitano--and, although their styles are not at all the same, he and Johnny have that in common, I think.

Nothing against the "showman" type of skater. They can be a lot of fun. But I don't see why all skaters have to be the same. I think the average audience can appreciate each type equally.
