I'm so conflicted about this because I've finally realized that one of my major inner conflicts is my attraction to beauty, when apparently I feel that austerity is 'holier'. Watching Johnny skate has taught me that, and I will be forever grateful to him for that, because I really wasn't aware of it until now.
But the hierarchy that goes along with it (fashion) is nasty. That kind of 'better than-uglier than' thing kind of takes over and ruins the whole thing, especially where hollywood is concerned.
Plus Johnny wants to do avant garde which is kind of different from the bourgeois hollywood kind. Does anyone know if he has commented on the designs of Jay McCarroll, the first winner of Project Runway?
