I opened an account last year but never posted anything because who cares what I'm doing? I'm already on Facebook and that's enough for me.
I'm getting a kick out of reading Johnny's posts though, today he's reorganizing his shoes. Can't wait to read what he says tomorrow. Just
curious though, no one responded to any of Johnny's posts, do you think he has a block so no one can post to his account?

Meg, If you open a twitter a/c you can respond to other "twitterers." There are already a lot of reponses to Johnny's posts and they are all
nice ones so far (Saturday, 5/16) You can also see who else is following someone and look at their posts too, although maybe you can do that anyway. You
are right that you don't need an a/c just to read.
I have a feeling Johnny's twitter posts will take on a life of their own! Look at how we are all getting into it!! I have also been to Bagatelle and it's pricey and great for people watching.

Thank you, mspatti, momjudy, and Audi. I've made an account and replied. I wonder if Johnny ever looks at his replies??
Well anyway, for the moment, I'll see where it would lead. Meg |

There are replies to his posts? Where?

brigichan wrote:There must be an easier way to find them, but this is how I found them. First click the home link (top and right side of the page). Then on that home page on the right side you have the search box, do a search with Johnny's twitter name and you will get a result list in which you can see all the comments and all Johnny's posts. I have a Twitter question as well. This might be a stupid one but Twitter is still very new to me. When you go to Johnny's twitter, on the right side you can see those little pictures under the text following. Are they twitters that Johnny follows or some sort of sponsored links that have nothing to do with him? |

Oh... both of my browsers froze when I tried that. :S
But thank you. |

I think the small pictures on the right side of Johnny's twitter page are the pages that he follows.

If you get on tweet deck it's a lot easier. You do it thru your twitter account.
I am on another skating blog and we all talk thru tweet deck now. Thanks for letting us know Johnny is now on twitter. |

pairsskater wrote: I had a different response - it worries me that Johnny appears to eat only lettuce or some other leafy green for dinner (especially since he says dinner is the only food he eats all day). Athletes' bodies need protein, and a lot of it for a sport as physically grueling as figure skating. Johnny should be eating lean proteins like poultry, fish, eggs and low-fat cheese several times a day. It seems to be really important to him that he stay as skinny as possible, and while I understand that keeping weight low is a necessity in figure skating, it is also really important to have stamina and strength. A diet of greens won't accomplish that. Pippa

Johnny went to Whole Foods last week so he probably stocked up on tons of veggies, maybe he'll have some chicken or fish dishes later in the week and who knows, maybe he did have some sort of meat with his dinner but didn't mention it.

His messages really taught me a lot about vegetables already, there seems to be quite an abundance when it comes to cabbage. And I am sure he'll eat sth
else with it. I'd rather not have heard about "crazy dreams" though, as it makes you kind of worrying...

I wonder what he means by "jury duty".

It means he got called by the judicial system to serve as a possible juror in a trial. All registered voters can get called. He may not get picked for a trial,
but he has to show up unless he has a ligitimate excuse to not serve.

If Johnny gets picked for a jury it could be 1 day or weeks! I'm pretty sure he cannot afford to miss practice for that long....perhaps he'll get out
of it. I went to jury duty, watched a movie about doing my duty as a citizen and then sat around reading for 4 hrs..before I was sent home.

Poor Johnny, jury duty can be so boring, waiting for your name to be called and not knowing if you have to come back the next day or not. Hopefully he
won't be tied up with jury duty for a long time but I guess it's better to get it over with now rather then closer to the competitive season. The last
time I was called for jury duty it was for the grand jury and we were told we could be serving for up to six months depending on the case, luckily they called
more people then needed and I was excused after sitting in the juror's room for six hours.

If you can prove out of town travel with a plane reservation, you can get a delay.

It won't help Johnny though because it's public knowledge that he lives and trains in New Jersey even though he's still on the voter registry (or whatever the source is in Delaware) for jury duty.
