Thanks for all the heads-up and links to reviews, Angels!
 Everything I've heard so far sounds great, but that was probably to be expected.  I
hope some of you are able to go to the SIFF and give us a first-hand report! (On a side note, I hope there are plans of bringing this to Europe one way or
another. I MUST see this! )
And of course congrats to Davis and James on being chosen for the festival!  Janina.

While I agree that Johnny has a very nice body, I think it would be better promotion for the film to show actual clips of Johnny skating and scenes from
the actual movie. I do love the ending though.

It's really great that the documentary is running at the festival, hope it will make it to some others as well. The promo clip with those gay voice overs
might explain why it is labelled in that section. Nice shots though (those feet look really like they had a difficult time so far..).

I think all the voices were various quotes, about Johnny, over the years. I recognized a Kurt Browning quote and some just sounded stereotypical
"gay".

Yes, I know those are quotes, and that the way they are read out is meant as irony, but most people don't understand irony. So I am not sure about this
promo as a marketing tool.

My impression of this promotion video, the theme seems to be " Don't judge a book by its cover ever !" ?? At first I didn't realized Johnny was the one talking until the ending. Johnny is very brave and very strong. He may still have a lot of anger towards some of the hatred and criticisms he received by people who don't even know him. Anyway, I can't wait to see it ! |

I guess I was distracted by all the body parts because I, too, didn't realize at first that it's Johnny speaking.

Well, this morning I had a "duh" moment
 and realized
that Monday the 25th (day after the debut) is Memorial Day, and I won't be working. (Sometimes clients say they want to come in on those sorts of holidays,
but then they never do, so I don't work on them) - so I'M GOING TO SEATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
