Just wanted everyone to know that I emailed the Sundance Channel to see if I can pin down a broadcast date for Johnny's reality series instead of the
sometime in 2009 answer I usually get. If and when I get an answer I will let everyone know. I don't get the Sundance Channel but plan on subscribing
as soon as I know when the series will be on.

April! I thought it was going to be shown in February. By chance I got free 90 days of Showtime package which includes Sundance channel, from Directv which
would have taken me through February. Now I'm gonna have to pony up for it. Well I wouldn't miss it for any price but what a gyp! (Plus I can't
wait for 2 more months) lol

Well, Johnny used reality series and documentary interchangeably when describing this project, so this very well may be it. But I have no sources or
connections, so this is just a guess.
I am not too fond of the name, to be honest, makes me think of Britney Spears deciding to take up skating, lol, and I am not very excited to see people like Christine Brennan, Scott Hamilton and Kurt Browning in the cast, but hopefully their appearance is as brief and meaningless as their commentary . Other than
that, really excited about it, I love the picture they chose. Based on everything Johnny said about it in the past it sounds like a must-see.

Love it! I was not too excited either to see their names in the cast. As for Sundance Channel momjudi, according to this Website (http://www.nywift.org/printarticle.aspx?id=1310), Ann Rose is an "executive producer of original programming at Sundance Channel"... Even if all we see on the Sundance Channel is an 85 minute documentary, I would hope there would also be a DVD video with lots of extras.
How long was the one sold in Japan? Has anyone found a version of the Japanese version that works on normal DVD players in the US? CarolM

I'm sorry, I did mean DVD players in the US.
So how long was the Japanese version? And when (around what event) did it stop? I know the film-makers were shooting new footage in 2008, so they should not be the same. CarolM |

I guess that's why I couldn't find it when I checked to record it the day after New Years (I did say I would check after the new year rang in). They changed the title. I'm excited and looking forward to see it. I'll check later to record it. This will be cool to relive the 06-07 season, despite it being a disappointing, difficult, and sad season. That was my first full GP season experience. |

The parts I saw were off ice, and the only on ice was practice, because they didn't have the rights to his performances in the competitions. |

Yes, it's mostly off-ice, about 70% of the video materal, I think. The only full performance was the Fallen Angels. There was a segment where Johnny went
trough one of his competitive programs at his home rink.
