I think it's at least nice of him trying clear up the situation and declaring he had no bad intentions. |

I know he's chosen not to disclose his sexuality, and yes, I was winking at that a bit when I asked about how he spins.
But come on, I didn't mean it cruelly or homophobically and I really don't think he took it that way.
Yeah, I agree. Johnny's laugh (and delightful it is) was not at all uncomfortable, imo. He took the question in stride, and seemed amused rather than offended. |

I appreciate the fact that Murphy felt the need to clarify the aim and meaning of his questions.
Well I think he had to, since the series of replies and comments to his interview were starting a flame, especially after a supposed friend of him referred to Johnny as a "INNOCENT CLOSETED ICE SKATER" (the capital letters where in the original post) and made fun of the other posters for "taking figure skating too seriously"... Even so I appreciate the fact Murphy held off from his friend words and clarified his owns...but I still don't appreciate his questions §^__^§ I think otherwise that Johnny managed all the situation really well and I agree with Murphy when he say Johnny didn't take offence for his questions...that is not because the questions weren't or couldn't be offensive, but only because Johnny is obviously a cut above Murphy.... ;P Bax Saki

I agree with tamalepie. Johnny totally understood the spirit intended in the question as shown by his counter question and genuine chuckle.

After watching the vid way too many times (to hear Johnny's laugh) and reading Murphy's explanation, I have to say that I don't think Murphy meant
to be nasty with those questions. I think he was aiming for cheeky, and it didn't come off very well, but I don't think he meant any disrespect.
That's just my opinion, of course.

After seeing 3 of these events come and go and not having the money to attend, I finally became gainfully employed and completely forgot about the event. I was
not even in NYC when the event took place, but I certainly had a means to get to the event had I remembered to purchase a ticket and all. I can assure you that
my coverage would not have been so controversial.
