Congrats to Jeffrey, Brian, Johnny.
Yep - Jeff has a monstrous LP score. He is one of the first skaters to fully capitalize on COP and IJS. He's got 3 jump combinations, having two 3A and two 3L will gain a lot in TES. That makes up for not having the quad in that program. When he's on, his steps and spins are extraordinary and will gain many points. |

I am so proud of Johnny. He struggled with his jumps today and wasn't able to do all the combos but he didn't give up and he's the ONLY AMERICAN
to medal this year.

Johnny had to fight through it, and the quad clearly wasn't perfect but he TRIED IT. And the first axel couldn't be in combination but he went for it
the next time! And he held on to the loop. And though he did the exact same mistake here with the two final combos as at Nationals, I'm sooo proud he kept
it together still. And he looked happy though frustrated with himself. hahahh But more happy than anything else! They showed loads of backstage clips of him
during the other skaters. =D
I was kinda shocked at all those downgraded quads. And I was totally FLOORED by what happened to Tomas. But GO JEFF AND JOHNNY!!!!!!!! |

God, I am so happy for all three of them! Brian totally earned that spot on the podium. And it shows everyone that NO ONE is a sure thing in skating. Johnny
looked as pleased to have bronze as he would to have gold, in my opinion.

Congratulations to Jeffrey, Brian and Johnny! They were all brilliant today!
I'm so happy for Johnny. Overall, I thought he was very nervous and that put a bit of a stop on his usual flow over the ice. Kuddos to him for skating the whole program cleanly though and he had a very relieved smile at the end and patted his head. |

the nerves got to his perfect skating, too. So yeah, he deserved the third place tonight, totally, Brian and Jeff were cleaner and had more flow.

Well all I can say is that USFS should thank their lucky stars for Johnny Weir. Without him the US would be down to two spots for the men at next year's
Worlds, and would have left this year's World Championships without a single medal for the first time since 1994. Not that I'm expecting him to
suddenly become their new golden boy or anything, but it would be nice if this brought him a little love from the federation.
