Okay, so this is random, but I'm working on a telescript for an English class that I'm in, and part of it is set in Deleware. We're supposed to write with the accent in mind; the only problem is that I don't know what that accent is. So I was wondering if any of y'all knew what it was and could help me out.

Here's me, as the fabulous Lady Gaga! The costume is homemade (and once I got away from my mom the photographer, the little black tanktop under the bra came off and I was literally practically hanging out of my vest). The face and hair is actually done by me- got a blond wig and cut to my specifications, lots of eyemakeup and black lace glued to my face, accented with red glitter glue.

I haven't been in the chat room for quite some time, and was in there briefly tonight. It kept telling me "reconnecting to server" in so many seconds, but then it just sat there. Has this been happening to other people?

So imagine my surprise when I wake up this morning, take a look outside, and see SNOW. I totally called it! I told everyone at work we were going to get it by the end of the week, and they all said "no, that's up north." In fact, it was supposed to rain all weekend here. How totally cool.

ETA- I let the kittens wander outside. They were born in April, so...

My husband and I traveled in Spain from August 14-September 1st. So many things we didn't or couldn't take pictures of - but I hope this gives you something of a flavor of our adventures!

Hey all!

I'm starting to (finally) get serious about figure skating and am trying to get all the essentials to last me. I just picked up a bag and soft guards tonight at practice, and I've got hard guards already. My question is two-fold:

(a) What else do I need?
(b) Where can I find those things for cheap prices?

Rogue River trip

Last weekend we went rafting on the Rogue River, Wild and Scenic Section, for four days to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The river is in Southwestern Oregon, between Grants Pass and the coast. He has been an avid rafter for many years, and this is his favorite river. Before we left, Nimbus was quite excited about birthday presents:

It has rained in New Jersey almost every day for the past three weeks it seems and the forecast is for rain everyday from today until June 27th. If we're lucky the rain will stop for a few hours and we take advantage and run outside those few hours but the rain always comes back, sometimes it is so heavy you can't see in front of you. On Monday there was such heavy hail north of me that people had to use snow shovels to remove it and some towns actually called out the snow plows...

Yes, it's my birthday on the 18th and it's my first chance to try my employer's new rule: take your birthday off, but be sure to do something memorable that you normally wouldn't do. I'm going to add a visit to a local art museum to my day. a:53
