Plushenko Injury

It is all over some of the other boards that Plushenko suffered a knee injury during practice. Russian press releases quote both Plusnenko and his coach saying that he has cancelled all appearances and practices due to an injury to the popliteal ligament. They hope he will be able to compete at Russian Nats in two weeks. There are various rumors but it seems he was that he was attempting a 4T or Triple axel /quad combo.
Does anyone in Russia know any more about this?

OK - I am somewhat confused and perhaps others are confused as well and so those with the real answers can reply.

1) I understand that in the Long Program a jump can only be attempted twice, correct?

2) If a jump is the first in a two or three-jump combo, does it count as one of the two allowed attempts?

3) If a jump is a second or third jump in a combo, does it count as one of the two allowed attempts?

I'm no ice-dance expert....but I know who the good teams are. There are some (other forums) who don't much care for Belbin and Agosto and some who think Virtue and Moir are the second coming. Then there are those who just can't get enough of Davis and White. And of course, there's the French and Russians......I'm so confused. I watched a video of V and M and thought they were great. But they just doesn't seem that different from B and A.

Can someone...
